“I am so thankful to this day that my hairdresser referred me to Amanda to talk about getting rid of the wrinkles on my face. Amanda is incredibly knowledgeable, easy to talk to, puts you at ease, and she knows exactly what she is doing! I am thrilled with the results of the Botox and Juvéderm injections.”
Get Long-Lasting Results with Our FDA-Approved HA Filler
Available at our med spa in Raleigh, Juvéderm XC is the first and only FDA-approved hyaluronic acid (HA) filler that lasts up to one year with a single treatment. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally-occurring molecule that acts as your body’s internal moisturizer. As you age, HA diminishes, contributing to the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Juvéderm, Glo de Vie’s HA filler of choice, is used to correct your skin’s imperfections by restoring the hyaluronic acid in your skin, plumping and enhancing to create a smooth, flawless appearance. It can also correct and diminish moderate to severe facial wrinkles and fine lines, acne scars, laugh lines, chin wrinkles, lip lines and facial parentheses, as well as offer lip enhancement.
Why Choose Juvéderm?
When you visit Glo de Vie, you can trust that we only use the most effective treatments that provide the best results, which is why we’re proud to offer Juvéderm. Why Juvéderm? It’s the first HA gel that is proven effective for all skin tones and types. Juvéderm also boasts the highest cohesivity when compared to other HA gels, offering our Raleigh patients unparalleled and long-lasting lift, shape and structure.
Juvéderm is the first smooth-consistency HA gel that flows easily and consistently. What’s more, the new Juvéderm formula now includes lidocaine, a common anesthetic, to alleviate any discomfort. This means you’ll enjoy noticeably smoother results and a more comfortable, less painful treatment than granular consistency gels provide. With flawless, natural-looking outcomes and a more pleasant treatment experience, it’s no wonder that Juvéderm has the highest patient loyalty of any other dermal filler brand.
Glo de Vie’s Juvéderm Treatment Process
Amanda Gallagher, Glo de Vie’s board certified Nurse Practitioner, is specifically trained to apply Juvéderm treatments in Raleigh from our beautiful, relaxed spa setting. We realize that there’s not a one-size-fits all wrinkle treatment, which is why we’ll first take the time to examine the soft tissue of your face in order to provide the custom, natural-looking results you want from your Juvéderm injection.
Our Raleigh HA filler treatments are quick and easy — the whole process usually takes only about 15 minutes. Before your Juvéderm treatment, local anesthesia or a numbing cream is applied to the skin around the mouth and nasolabial folds, eliminating much or all of your discomfort. Amanda will then carefully ease the HA gel into the soft tissue of the dermis of your skin in order to give you smooth fullness that is immediately noticeable. Following the injection, she will carefully massage treated areas.
Side effects are mild to moderate, typically lasting no more than seven days. Slight redness and swelling may appear immediately following treatment, but applying an ice pack can help diminish any discoloration or irregularities. With Juvéderm, there is virtually no downtime — you’re free to resume your daily activities immediately following treatment.
Results may vary; however, studies have shown Juvéderm to last six months or longer.

Additional Juvéderm Questions & Considerations
Who should avoid Juvéderm?
Juvéderm is designed for all skin types and skin tones, but the treatment is not suitable for all patients. Those who have a history of excessive scarring, immunosuppressive therapy, keloid formation, pigment disorders or certain severe allergies should avoid Juvéderm dermal filler, as well as those who are pregnant or nursing.
What are the possible side effects?
Juvéderm side effects typically last for a week or less and may include:
- Swelling at the injection sites
- Local tenderness
- As with any injection, there is the risk of infection
Before coming to our med spa in Raleigh for Juvéderm treatments, we suggest you avoid consuming alcoholic beverages and taking anti-inflammatory medications for three to five days prior. We also recommend scheduling your Juvéderm injections at least two weeks before any special event you may be attending.
Any mild discomfort or swelling may be treated with Tylenol, and an ice pack may be applied to the affected area for a brief period. The professionals at Glo de Vie suggest you avoid the following for at least 24 hours after your treatment:
- Massaging the treated area
- Strenuous exercise
- Alcohol consumption
- Extended exposure to sun or heat
Are additional treatments necessary?
As with any temporary treatment, over time, results will eventually fade. Juvéderm has been proven to last up to a year; however, after that period, additional treatments may be necessary to maintain your smooth, youthful appearance.
